Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll | For boys and girls of all ages! Combines the beauty of the dance with consistent physical activities in the dynamic rhythm of contemporary rock’n’roll music. Kids will learn basic footsteps including kicks, hops, bouncing movements, energetic choreography, as well as acrobatic elements. |
Kids Gym | Introductory program for boys and girls designed to develop fundamental gymnastics skills, body awareness, flexibility, strength and confidence. The children participate in activities such as tumbling, balancing and jumping. |
Street Dance | Modern, funky, fun and up to date! Brings all of the most popular urban street style moves. It is a great way to learn to dance, keep fit and develop rhythm and co-ordination. |
Game Zone | Kids will have a fun time getting fit through games, discovery, play and recreational fitness opportunities. |
Ballet | Beautiful style of dance that teaches students deportment, gives them strength and flexibility and of course, beautiful graceful movements. |
Rhythmic Gymnastics | Unique blend of music, movement, and apparatus that challenges students to discover their bodies’ capabilities as children use their natural creativity and imagination to manipulate ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes, and scarves in fun and spectacular ways. It enables every child to work at his or her own level. |
Acro / Tumbling | Promotes basic acro/ tumbling skills, flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness (begins with basic forward and backward rolls and progresses to handstands, forward and backward limbers, cartwheels, back/front walkovers, splits, back/front handsprings, etc.) |
Mom & Tot | Our experienced instructor certified by USA Gymnastics Safety leads moms/dads and children in a fun & stimulating gymnastics & dance program for 45 minutes. We have brightly colored equipment to fit each child’s age, size, and ability. Participate with your child in a fun learning environment! |
Belly-Dance Workout | A dance fitness class that focuses on the core muscles. It is not only a beautiful form of dance, but also a great exercise, promoting sense of rhythm, strong muscles, flexibility, and strong cardio-vascular health. Hip scarves are optional. |
Dance Aerobics | Fun and diverse dance moves (hip-hop, jazz, modern, Latin…) to keep your workout varied and interesting! This class can be done at a lower intensity to fit all fitness levels. 45-minute burn will challenge your cardio, enhance your core and build strength. |
Strength Training | A full body workout designed to strengthen and tone the upper and lower body using hand-held weights. |
Latin Fitness |
The class combines easy, yet energetic Latin dance steps with aerobic moves all to the sounds of Latin and other music from around the world. |
Acrobatic Rock'n'Roll Academy TEAM | Each year, young people who show high potential in the Rock’n’Roll dance classes that we provide may be selected to join the team. This selection process is not very formal. This category designed to move FAST and is for advanced students with relevant background including acrobatic rock’n’roll, gymnastics, cheerleading, acrobatics and circus arts. Our Team is for students with good technique and considerable experience. In this division we teach a competitive style of acrobatic rock’n’roll – very energetic steps, based upon sharp kicks, more complex choreography combined with acrobatic tricks such as spectacular jumps, throws and flashovers – depending on individual abilities and strength and within the Rules set by World Rock’n’Roll Confederation. Acrobatic moves in our class all taught clearly and safely and vary in difficulty. The Team students will have an opportunity to participate in local, national and international competitions, exhibitions and spectacular performances at various functions and events. Being on the team is a great opportunity, as it allows you to get the benefit of excellent private tuition. |
